I have to give back the Nuvi I was using to a friend of mine that let me borrow it. So I need to get my own road GPS.
I got deals on both a TomTom 130 and a Garmin Nuvi 205. I'm considering both.
I already have used the Nuvi which my friend lent me, so I know what it can do and have seen the pros and cons of it.
My question is - I don't know anything about the TomTom 130.
Has anyone used this GPS and if so, what they think of it? |

With the nuvi you can load caches and info through GSAK I think you need a higher end Tom Tom to do it. |

go with the Nuvi ...
(1) it works great, for caching and driving
(2) Garmin has great customer service
(3) sounds like you'd not need to read the manual |

The off/on switch on our Nuvi broke a week after the warranty had expired. We contacted Garmin and they sent us a whole new unit. |

Not at all surprising ... if anything else would have happened, I'd say you had called the wrong number. |

Nuvi it is. EnegerySaver made a good point - I already know how to operate the device and do not need the manual.
Gonna get it tomorrow.
I was using the 200. I'm getting the 205. Not sure what's the difference. But meh, it'll still work as well as the 200. |

With the 205 you can actually get the satellite page, is a little more user friendly |

I would take the smallest/least function nuvi over the best Tom-Tom ... I'm just that happy with it and Garmin. |
