I have to give back the Nuvi I was using to a friend of mine that let me borrow it. So I need to get my own road GPS.

I got deals on both a TomTom 130 and a Garmin Nuvi 205. I'm considering both.

I already have used the Nuvi which my friend lent me, so I know what it can do and have seen the pros and cons of it.

My question is - I don't know anything about the TomTom 130.

Has anyone used this GPS and if so, what they think of it?

With the nuvi you can load caches and info through GSAK I think you need a higher end Tom Tom to do it.

go with the Nuvi ...

(1) it works great, for caching and driving
(2) Garmin has great customer service
(3) sounds like you'd not need to read the manual

The off/on switch on our Nuvi broke a week after the warranty had expired. We contacted Garmin and they sent us a whole new unit.

Not at all surprising ... if anything else would have happened, I'd say you had called the wrong number.

Nuvi it is. EnegerySaver made a good point - I already know how to operate the device and do not need the manual.

Gonna get it tomorrow.

I was using the 200. I'm getting the 205. Not sure what's the difference. But meh, it'll still work as well as the 200.

With the 205 you can actually get the satellite page, is a little more user friendly

I would take the smallest/least function nuvi over the best Tom-Tom ... I'm just that happy with it and Garmin.
