Is it possible to use the state seal on a coin? I can't find anything that says it can't be used...
If someone likes the idea, feel free to use it.

I am not an artist but I've been tossing the idea around of a coin that looks like it's made of cheese. I just think it would be neat to have a Wisconsin shaped cheese block for some reason.
Not really related to geocaching but neither is a cow. |

Ummmm....I'd let ya use my avatar to be the State coin.
This does make sense. You see anyone wearing a cheesehead, ya know they're from Wisconsin.
Ok, How about this. The coin needs to be in the shape of the state. Can anyone do that using my avatar? Ya know make it look like a block of holy cheese in the shape of Wisconsin. I'll split the idea with ya!
I was kinda of thinking of maybe trying to talk my wife into letting me mint a personal coin in the shape of my avatar, but it's gonna be a VERY, VERY, VERY hard sell. VERY. |

I hereby give full rights to my cheese block shaped like Wisconsin idea to anyone who can design something and cheezehead can take as much credit as can be extended north of Hwy 64.
I have no artistic talent and have no urge to actually submit an idea but it would be neat to see this one up for vote... |

Ok, this is just a quickly thrown together rendition. If Chris like's it, and can come up with something else to put on the front besides the stolen slogan, I'll spend some time on it.
I like the idea of the whole state looking like cheeze, but I haven't been able to make it look anything like what I see in my head. Maybe someone else can try that...

UGH! No thank, you, TBC!
But I was thinking of cheese, too. Maybe the back side with all the info and tracking on it could be solid cheese-colored (and holey) like Cheezehead's avatar, just shaped like a backwards Wisconsin, with the WGA logo, plus the date, plus the tracking #. It would look like that topsy-turvy New Jersey shaped one that BakRdz did in the middle of page 2 only a normal Wisconsin back side (cheese covered). |

That's what we're looking for, HC. Just a concept that can be cleaned up later. We need MORE! Keep the ideas coming. |

We have a TB called "Cheeseheads in Paradise"-it's "quasi-cheese" in the shape of Wisconsin. We love the "cheese coin" idea! |

If anyone is working on a geocoin design, even if you want to keep your design a secret until you submit it, please post a note in this thread so we have some idea that there are some submissions coming. Thus far, no finished (or unfinished) designs have been submitted to the submissions thread. The BOD listened to the 'do you want a 2010 geocoin' poll and decided to mint one. Now we need your help in the design. We had great ideas come out of the contest in 2007 and I know there is talent out there.
It doesn't need to be artistic talent either, coming up with a great idea is talent too. If we can match up an idea with an artist, the skys the limit. |

The pirate gang is working on one. We had created a design that was round, so we are trying to rework it in the shape of WI (not going well). The submission will be forth coming. |
