I could see making (or buying) a longer product like a belt or something.
But with regard to a bracklet ... I just can't imagine too many times having 6 feet of cord in the woods is going to help me get out of the woods alive ... lets say any more than other stuff I might already have (ie. a regular belt or shoe laces), for like to stop blood from leaking out or giving a bear a good snap in the eye. |

Yes please let me know how it is and what it looks like I am curently in the process of tying one but I cant figure out how to put a clasp on it so for now it will be finished with a knot. I would like to also see it because the one I am tying does not come apart I would have to untie all the links to use the rope.

I've been wearing the survival strap for about 5-6 weeks now. I wear it pretty much 24/7 except in the shower, though it's made it in there a few times too. I like it. It's durable, it looks nice and as much abuse as it takes from me at work and play, it literally still looks brand new. Chemicals don't seem to harm it. Abrasives either. It takes a beating well. My only complaint is the comfort level. Thats not to say it's uncomfortable, just that the web-site read that it would soften up in time with regular use. I can't remember the length of time spoken of, but it seemed to me like a few weeks was the impression it gave. 5-6 weeks later, it's still hard and not very flexible. It does fit nice and keeps the exact shape of my wrist. Anyone with carpal tunnel would not enjoy this bracelet. Anyone spending hours on a PC, would also not enjoy this bracelet. 20 mins on the PC, and the circulation in my hand gets cut off from the pressure of my wrist against the desk. They are thick, and have zero give. |

Just made my own tonight to try it out. It's OK, but definately some planned improvements for the next try. Once I figured out how to tie it, it only took about 15 minutes to make. |
