Gram and I are planning our next caching trip, this time to the NW corner of the state. We are looking at the counties roughly north of Hwy 8 and west of Hwy 13. We've picked out some caches in each county, but are also interested in opinions as to any that we do not want to miss. We'll probably be overnight in Superior, and will probably have time for a few northern metro caches.
The Farve cache looks good, and we'll try for that one. But there's not much else in the Recommended list...
Probably no multi's or complicated puzzles this time, as time and miles will be a factor. But cool caches and awesome scenery are always welcome. We are open to Town and County roads, as long as they are civilized enough for our Prius to handle!
Thanks a lot for any suggestions. We've only been in NW Wisconsin a couple of times, altho we've driven through en route to Ely or Ontario. We are looking forward to caching in a new neighborhood that we know is beautiful country.

Not sure if you are getting to the ashland but
GCVKWG A piece of Hist-ORE-y wasn't a amazing cache but it was a cool place to visit some history.
GCB17F - SOO Happy virtual - big train, very cool.
Lots of artesian well ec's in the area
GC14KGG Foster Falls - If you are farther east, this is a fun one, it says multi but the coords are right in the description now. Check out the pictures.
GCKC3J Benezene Cache - The cache is nothing spectactular but the area is neat and a good story behind it. Terrain is higher than the 1.5 listed and bring bug dope.
It's archived but GC1245 Gitche Gumee Virtual Cache took you out on a breakwater type drive, nice views and worth the drive, check to see if there are other caches around it. |

I could give ya a couple hundred suggestions.
Can you be a little more specific about what kind of cache you like, and what areas you will be in?
