Assuming you mean "opencaching.com", not "opencaching.us", the user name cannot include spaces. Try creating your name without the space. |

We had the same problem and that worked for us. We wondered why that wasn't pointed out on the site, but there seems to be quite a bit that still needs improvement. |

I was glad to see they supported -'s so that I could keep my name the same. Not that I wanted the -'s but you know how it is...
They also don't support short usernames (I think 5 characters was mentioned as the minimum...) as well which was brought up on the related groundspeak forum thread. |

I'm hosed too because I already have a "Garmin" account. I really don't care to be known by a different ID on their site just because I registered my Nuvi with a different account. |

I'm guess I'm only partially hosed and now I'm a little inbetween having the same UserID.
Here's what I did.
1) Log into opencaching.com with my "Garmin" ID.
2) In the top menu bar select "Settings".
3) I changed the "Handle" to be the value I wanted to match my GC.com ID.
4) Save.
So far so good at this point, but I can't log in with the new handle. The old handle allows me to log in, but shows the new handle as my ID. Logging in via my email address seems to work and displays the new handle as well. Possibly a data replication delay / problem between garmin.com and opencaching.com?? |

Not very user friendly to families. I tried to sign up my son, but was told that multiple accounts cannot use the same email address. What a crock. |

I didn't see a way to change the email address either, which is going to be a big problem for them (at least I assume it will based on my experience managing emails in the past). |

I would bet someone thought it a good idea to set your email address as a key in there DB which is going to cause them grief down the road if thats what happened. |

Hopefully Glorkar will see this (or you could PM him). He's a moderator on opencaching.us and might be able to help get this resolved. |
