Thanks |

Bad Things!? I just bought one (62s). It only took me an hour to get going. I also still have the (60Csx) that I will uses as a go along. I looked at the P60 but didn't like the screen size, but I loved all the features. It would be really neat if someone came up with a unit thar had the best of all the units out there. |

Mine should be here Monday. By bad things, I heard there was a squeek when you hit the buttons.
Thanks |

that little squeek is the money you saved from switching to Garmin. |

I never bought maps for my Garmin,

Worldwide routeable maps to download free. I have over 1/2 of the US on my 550 on the SD card, and still have plenty of room to add more. |

Have never had one, but have geocached with people that have had them, Actually both units are very good. There seemed to be a bit of a learning curve with it, but I did like the unit. I do like the touch screen of the 550 though, less buttons means less chance of water sneaking in the unit. I have used the unit in the rain with no problems.
Everyone has their own favorite Delorme vs. Garmin is like the Packers vs. Bears. |

I have had the Oregon 300, 450, Dakota 20, vista 60csx and delorme pn-20, 40 and 60. I did not like the touch screen. A 3 axis compass is a must and I like the layout of the delorme and 62s. As far as price garmin is more. I love new tech items and do a lot of trading and selling to do so.
Thanks |
