The WGA will hold its annual Campout at Hartman Creek State Park on May 20 - 22, 2011. We are currently seeking volunteers to serve on the Campout Committee. If you are interested in volunteering, please PM me or make a comment in this thread.

Just as a reminder, all of our committees are empowered committees, so it is up to committee members to help decide what the event will be like, as well as help staff the event. If you have ideas on what we can do to make our events even better, then that is a good reason to volunteer to work on this committee. Or if you are planning on attending anyway, and would like to help out at the event, then that is another good reason to volunteer.

Also as a reminder, the committee has no physical meetings to attend. All the work is done here in the forums, in a thread that is visible only to members of the campout committee.

And as a third reminder, all 9 of the board members are automatically on this committee, so you dont have to volunteer again. You already have. Smile

Reviewing my notes, I see I already have Grams and Gramps, Sandlanders, and Sandman from an earlier annoucement. I have to write this stuff down, cuz my mind is a lot like a screen door on a submarine. Wink

Anyway, you 3 do not need to volunteer again. We are in the process of opening up that forum right now, so stay tuned and you will be in the campout forum shortly.

thanks

z

I have been given some ideas on what committee members are expected to do and believe I can help in some of those ways. I am relatively local to the event (Fox Valley) and plan to attend. I would like to help out. If you get a lot of requests to be on the committee, I will just help at the event. Otherwise, consider this a request to volunteer on the committee. Let me know either way, thanks.

My husband, I and family would love to help out. We have only been to a couple events, but will help out wherever we can and are needed. We live about 10 minutes from the park.

We don't live that close, but I have been asked to help with the Pancake Breakfast and am looking forward to helping. Please include me on the Campout Committee, and I'll also help where I can be helpful. Thanks!

Don't see the Campout Committee section in the forums since the website update... and can't seem to find it buried anywhere, either.

I got a new email notice for each of the two committees I'm on, Jim. It was just like before, letting me know I now had access to the committee forum. Maybe your re-invite "got lost in the mail" or you got overlooked. We need you on that committee!

There was a problem with your username for some reason. We can't add you to the group the "normal" way. I'll get you added soon.
