Hi,
I've been caching for a few years now, and got bit by the place my own cache bug. I recently placed one at the Youth Center, and now thinking about placing one in a cemetery. I would like more informatoin about WSQ, Wisconsin Spirit Quest.....where can I find the policy for placing a cache and calling it a WSQ-... Thanks. |

Welcome to the WGA. Glad to have you aboard.
There is no set policy of WSQs. A lot of people use the same cut and paste about respect for the ground, and you can borrow that, if you want, and it is a good idea to do so.
Generally speaking, it is best not to put the cache in a way that might compromise the main purpose of the cemetery, so not on or near gravestones. Many people hide WSQ caches around the perimeter of the cemetery, which is usually the best option. Also, there is a time and place for tricky hides, but a cemetery is not a good place for that type of thing, since tricky hides can result in damage to bushes and trees.
Also, like any cache, you are expected to get approval from the landowner prior to placing the cache. Until recently, permission in public cemeterys was not required to be explicit, but now it is, so you will have to talk to the caretaker for the cemetery and get permission for cache placement.

Thanks for that info. Speaking of copy and paste of the ground rules, is there a link to get them, or a logo, from? Thanks again. |

Hello, so I also have a question now. I was wondering if that was the case recently as I have heard a little buzz about it. Do you know if we have to go to all of the cemeteries and get approval if they have been placed last year? |
