I've been intrigued with this cache forever.
GC11RNV
It can be done without paddling, but I think to truly enjoy it, it would be fun to do it via canoe or kayak. The age old issue of shuttling comes up. Is there any interest from others to plan a paddling trip to do this one? It's in an area of hardly any caches, but my experience down this way is most of the ones there are worth the effort.
Most of the month of May is toast for us. |

No interest here? We'll figure out a way to make this happen for ourselves, even if it means someone takes an 8 mile bike ride back to the vehicle! It just sounds too cool to shortcut for us. |

Depending on when you were looking at doing this, we might be interested. |

I am very interested! Especially since I've got some Delorme pages and counties to get to down in that corner of the state! June is the earliest we'd be able to look at participating as well. Don't know if my wife would be interested or not. Doesn't sound like a good adventure for the kids but she may like to come and do something else to pass the time.
Yes - this looks like a truly worthy geocache |

It's not very far from Galena IL, which has things to interest spousal units who don't want to paddle. We were thinking maybe of doing this and then staying in Galena, actually. No time frame so far for us, other than "after June 5th." |

I haven't been keeping up with the forums lately so if there is still interest in this one let us know. I just got a kayak last year and am itching to get it out again. |
