WGA "Pass the Syrup" Pancake Event - Help Needed

With the Cache Ba$h getting closer and that the WGA is going to hold their third annual Pancake breakfast event on Sunday Aug 14. We need to pull together volunteers to assist with the planning, setup, cooking, cleanup and breakdown for the event. No volunteers will be turned away!

If you have never helped out at an event like this, here is your opportunity to give it a shot. Nothing quite like the feeling you get when you see lots of happy faces and lots of 'thank you's for givin' em something to eat.

post your desire to assist here and we will soon have a list of tasks developed to put your names to.

Feel free to put me to work if I make it, but I don't want to commit to anything since I'll have the wife and newborn that I have to take care of. Wink

One experienced pancake flipper (robert o cook pancake event) sausage turner and bacon slider, will work for pathtags. Do you put peanut butter on your pancakes?

I have some experience that I could bring to the pancake table. I plan on being there. Who's in charge, if I may ask?

Thanks Jeff and sure you may ask...

Sweetlife (Barry) and I are going to head this up.
We can organize it but we will need hands to pick up the jobs as they become known.
Trying to get an idea of numbers of eaters but that will rely on them posting Will Attends to the page and that could run right up to Bash time so we may need to be a bit flexible on some of the plans.

Cake Flippers
sausage cookers
batter mixers
beverage preparers (coffee, hot water for cocoa, OJ, milk)
servers
cach/ticket takers
table cleaners (sticky sticky syrup!)
Fruit prep / serving
runners
crowd control Wink

I can help with pancake flipping or sausage rolling. I need a 16 foot ceiling for the pancakes and no hills for the sausages. Melissa (wingwalker) can help with batter mixing, table cleaning, serving or whatever. We now have her work schedule and Sundays are her day off. No croud controll for us we would join in.

Thanks Pete for posting a volunteer job list, I was working on making one then I see you posted it, hopefully we can get enough volunteers so we can rotate out volunteers
