Just a note to those that may not have seen the new event posted for Devil's Lake - GC2NRVQ It's been a fun summer for Devil's Lake State Park's 100th Anniversary. Six new caches and 6 Waymarks were placed for the Centennial Tracks (pamphlet available at DL Nature Center) to point out cultural and historic areas of the Park.
Also note that free use of a gps is available at the Nature Center - and this winter free snowshoes will be available there also.
Come out for a fun day at Devil's Lake!! |

Thank you for posting this! We are going to the Dells that weekend anyway so we will happily go a little early for a CITO event. |

Sending our regrets now, as that's my weekend to work. It would be great to see you guys again, and we haven't been to Devil's Lake since... spring? Hope it's a big success! |

We'd have loved to do this, but we're signed up for a CITO in...Yosemite Park! If for some reason our trip doesn't happen (this has happened to us a lot the last couple years), you know this is where we'll be.
Funny thing is, we were caching in Devil's Lake last week and made the comment that a CITO here would be a great idea. Thanks for taking this on. It's such a beautiful area, for those who haven't been there yet, there are a lot of caches there and this would be the perfect excuse to finally visit the park. |

Really shouldn't need a CITO anywhere! But some people just don't care. |

Oh wow, I am so jealous! I haven't been there since I was a kid and I'm itching to go back. Have fun!
I just put this note on the cache page but might as well respond here too. I had thought we'd be able to come but my son has an activity that morning that sadly cannot be skipped. So we won't be there. I hope everyone has fun cleaning up the park for my parents, aunt and uncle since they will be hiking there a few days after the CITO. I'm sure they'd all say thank you! |

Never thought of a Travel bug as an "encoded device". Really makes me wonder how accurate the rest of the news is that I hear. |

Well it does have a code on it. And it could be a "device" of some kind |

This is at least the second time I have heard travel bugs referred to in the press as a devise.... |
