Does anybody want to share any stories about gifts they may have given or received related to geocaching? I got the only geogift I asked for--warm socks! But my walking friend, who says she doesn't cache, but will look with me when there are caches along the trails, got a GPSr from her husband.
She says she isn't joining any club and expects me to download the caches, but is excited to use it when we go walking/caching. Some people are instantly hooked; some take years to convert! |

I got a $100.00 gas card for Kwik Trip, with gas prices they way they are I'm sure that will be good for at least one caching trip! |

I got a pair of rubber knee boots.
It seems odd, but this was one piece of caching gear I didn't have. I'm really looking for these to be the "workhorse" on some local caches where hip boots are too much. |

We gave up gifting the other adults some years back, but I did just get two new apps for my iPod that may come in handy when out and about. For us, discovery is the name of the game and I'm always discovering "things" along the way. So I bought a nice Track and Scat app and also downloaded a free tree id app. Trekkin' says we have all that stuff in pamphlets and books and stuff, but I can't put all that, along with geosphere, iBird pro, the first aid app and Wisconsin butterflies in my pocket and still have space for extra batteries! |

I got an Oregon 450, and I didn't even ask for a new GPS. (Perhaps I "complained" about the Legend (in its own mind) while I was relating caching stories at dinner?) |

We have 5 grandchildren so there was no money left after buying presents for them. We're still using the same Etrex Legends that we got when we started 5 years ago. If anyone wants to adopt us next Christmas so we can get an upgrade we're game. |

The polish cutie got me a new GPSr as well...also an Oregon 450. I also did not ask for one, but I won't complain. We took it out for a spin today and I am pleased thus far.
Bill, charge admission to all of your silo caches. 5 cents per cacher per cache. You should have the money in no time. |

I was thinking of asking if you'd adopt me as a grandchild. |

took my new Magellan eXplorist 610 out for its first cache yesterday. For some reason I chose a four-stage multi to break this thing in. Should have played with it at home a little longer as I got to learn some things on the fly, like how to enter waypoints |
