Wow! And that's only a 3/2? Looks like a great cache to do, and it has tons of "favorite" points. Good luck on the find, and have fun on your trip! We'll be watching for your "Found It" log. |

I'd have liked to do that one last spring, but I was kind of hostage to my brother, so no go. I look forward to reading your log adventures! |

Looks like quite a challenge. Should be good for more than one smiley |

You know, I did walk across at least two of the bridges when I was there with my brother and his wife. Too bad I didn't at least gather what I could that time. Course, that would require remembering I'd done so AND where I put the info!
You will be amazed at how much calmer the world seems once you step off the city streets into the park. Truly amazed! |

We're back! Mission complete! The coin is beautiful. My log is below and this link should go to a public version of the album from FB.

We were visiting NYC over my school break and what better way to sightsee than to geocache?! The CO was kind enough to answer some questions before our trip and provide us his cell number in case we had any problems.
We started on Sunday 1/8 at 11:45 and finished literally as the sun was going down around 5:15 (with a few stops in between at cocoa stands and such). The weather was beautiful! I have to say, after 4 days previously of walking 6-10 hours/day, we were pretty beat by Sunday. If it wasn’t for the geocache challenge, we might not have gone to Central Park at all! Unfortunately, between being worn out and our limited day light hours, we didn’t have time to see much else around the park. We did pass the Balto statue and the Alice in Wonderland statue. Part of our lack of sightseeing in the park (and adding to our caching time) was due to many of the lawns being closed for the season.
At the end, our math was a little off so we called the CO who set us straight and verified the final coords. He also let us know to get a move on to the final because the sun was going down! We ran for it and found the cache. The coin is beautiful! TFTC!!! |

Great photos of some really neat places! Thanks for sharing them with us. You're right about the coin. Cool! That cache was definitely the one to do while you were there. Congrats on scoring the smiley on it! |

Thanks! The first 5 or so bridges are in another album. FB keeps crashing when I try to move them over. Those were at the very northern part of the park. If one didn't have a glimpse of the skyline, he or she wouldn't know they were even in NYC! |

looking at the pics, one of the bridges was in a Red Hot Chili Peppers Video for "Under the Bridge" |

Some great photos! Glad you could complete the cache. I'll have to just gtell my brother and his wife we're doing this next time I go out to visit. They're letterboxers, so they would understand....maybe! |
