I am thinking about doing a creative cache CAKE contest at the bash. This would be a little something for the creative ladies (or guys who like to bake ) and would be a fun family activity for the whole family to come up with a creative cache cake. There is even a website about creative cache cakes.
Do you think it would be more fun to:
Bring the cake there and then everyone eat it - yummy! (there are fridges available)
or
Take a photo and have people judge them that way.
Any helpful suggestions or ideas appreciated. Remember it is our five year Cach Ba$h anniversary so that would be a fun detail to add that to it as well.
Could this be made into a Challenge as well? I am not quite sure how those work yet. |

For my dads (swamphog) birthday my aunt made a cake that looked like his GPS, I hid a cache just for him and the coords were on the screen of the cake! it was fun |

Not that anyone would do this, but pictures could be "doctored" up.
Maybe the WGA could do a cake raffle/auction for all the cake submitted. It would be a way to raise a few dollars. Our FFA group does that every year. These cakes are in the shape of tractors, cows and other farm related themes. Most of them are no bigger than a 9x13 cookie sheet. Most of our cakes go in the range of $50 to $100 range. |

I may be wrong, but I don't think LDove is proposing this as a WGA function. |

I think it would be way more fun if people actually brought their cakes. Count me in! |

Team Black Cat is correct, this is may be an activity sponsored by the West Bend Chamber who runs the Cache Bash. Not the WGA. The WGA is a great part of our event and does many things for us including the pancake breakfast on Sunday.
This was another fun thing to add to the event. |

I think, like a Mardi Gras King cake, that each cake has to have a micro baked into it...
Just my twisted thoughts... |

LOL! Now you men (and ladies), get out those cookbooks and get planning! I will be doing this and will provide a spot to store your cakes so start thinking of what you are going to make! I think hiding a FTF prize in a cake like a king cake is a hoot!! GO FOR IT! |
