We've logged caches on the same day in different states. Hitman was working in one state and picked up a cache, and Hitwoman was caching in WI. Is that wrong?

It's probably worth mentioning in the logs. If cache couples share an account, I'm good with that. It's cache families that have multiple accounts, but only one member finds the cache, then logs for everyone, that I have an issue with (IMHO).

Linda has probably found only 10 caches without me along, usually with one of her adult children. She logs it under our account.

I think in that case it was actually legitimate. In the specified example, it did not sound like cachers were physically in the state. I would delete those logs.

This looks to be a blatant attempt to get away with proxy logging of caches. HitSquad's members in two places at one time is Totally Fine as they share an account. These folks do not and are not a family from what it sounds like. They make up a good storyline to stick to as they log the caches so it appears that they were all there but when someone informs you that all but one log are bogus, what would you assume?

After much discussion and thought we truly believe the logs to be bogus and I just got done deleting them. I really hated to do it (they were much better than the standard tftc logs) but we don't agree with bogus logging.

I just do not get it. I enjoy going to even the most boring cache site, as long as I find it. Just finshed up the pumpkin series and a bunch more on Sat with 5 other people. We had 2 cars and we stopped as a team at every cache. There was no leap frogging at all. Makes it a longer day, but more fun. Like watch circus clowns at work.

Just a follow up to this....we happened to notice while looking at another tough area cache that the person "befriended" by raslas also logged that one and included some of the same space shifting cachers on that log, too. That CO actually pointed it out to us, as he'd checked it and saw only a couple names on the log and many others claiming a find on the website. I guess I like our tough finds to be ones we found with our own hard work and where-with-all, but not everyone thinks the same.

Your choice. However, check to see if Signature is indeed there. Sometimes there are more than one person on a team. We have 4 team members and My son logged a find while in Florida on Spring Break and I logged one here in Wisconsin. I have also heard of people fly and travel from state to state where logs from out of state can occur even on the same day. Case in point, a local cacher in our area is a flight attendant and does just that. Just another point of view to consider.

By itself, logging caches in multiple states on the same day isn't that unusual. I've cached in 3 states a number of times, and even got 4 states once. On my next road trip to FL, I hope to qualify for the 5 State Challenge
(GC3F2KF).

The supporting evidence in this case seems to justify deleting the logs in question.
