Can't go wrong with a Nuvi. Several different models out there, depending on the features you are looking for. |

I'm spoiled... I have a Nuvi 2595LMT
It has voice recognition, so I can say "find Culvers" and it comes up with all of them near me and asks which one I want to go to. I have an iphone 4s, and Siri doesn't work nearly as smooth as my Nuvi. |

We love our Nuvi 1450T. It works great for driving to caches and for general on-road navigation. |

Yep-That's exactly how we use it. |

Same here. $100 Nuvi (she's named "Sally" and she's very polite if I make a wrong turn). There are ways to download the cache information to the Nuvi also so you can just pick the cache name from the POI's (Points of interest) saving the hassle of typing in the coordinates. Unfortunately I'm "dumb" (slow learner?) and just enter them by hand instead of downloading them normally. |

We have a Nuvi - affectionately named "Ruth" - that we use for turn-by-turn getting to the cache area. Then the Garmin handheld takes over. We like using this system, it is so much more efficient than platbooks and Gazetteers and fold-up maps scattered all over our little Toyotas.
Anyone else besides CJ and us named their GPSs?
We'd be interested in hearing more about downloading cache coordinates directly to Ruth. We currently punch them in manually as needed.

We load our Nuvi with a GSAK macro and our Nuvi supports tour guide files so when we get within a specified distance from the cache the cache "pops up" so we know we are close to a cache. A lot of times we just take off in a random direction with no set destination in mind so this works well for us. |

I call my Nuvi the "Nagging B*tch".
Why? It tells me to "turn left", "turn right" - just like a real nagging b*tch would |

I have a RAM laptop mount and a laptop that runs delorme maps for my routing using the delorme usb gps.
Its awesome for caching to have the laptop and run gsak in the background. Its a little clunky for long family road trips but it works. Its also nice to have the big screen vs the dash mount ones. |
