OFFICIAL DATE CHOSEN - WE ARE ATTACHING THE GAUNTLET ON SUNDAY, MAY 1, 2005

I didn't realize there was another event going on and so close to home AND I'm actually off for a change. I'm gonna have to make a weekend of it!!

All those who are seriously interested in attaching "The Gauntlet" on May 1, please get in contact with me, via e-mail, by no later than Sunday, April 24. The SOONER the BETTER!! This way we can work on transportation issues, meeting place, and all the other good caching stuff. We are not sure if this would be something we would attempt in the rain, but we can discuss that too.

So.... for those interested, chat with ya soon AND possibly see you Pre-Gauntlet on Saturday April 30th at the "Secrets of Stonehaven Event" That can be our warm-up! LOL

OK, I'm getting curious about this one. Does anyone have pics on what I'd be up against? And If I were to tag along (possibly with JJTBA, if that's ok with them?) could I show up with boots, food and a flashlight and be ok? I'm new to geocaching, but young enough and in reasonably good shape, so that'll make up for a lack of experience, right? Well, I can dream LOL

Let me know if you'd let me possibly tag along too. If I'd just be in the way, you can tell me.

Anyone is welcome to come, with or without a GPS. There should be enough GPSr's around that we can share and show any new comers to the sport, how it's done. We can can team up with whomever. Something we can discuss before we go out.

We will be making a list of "THINGS we each should have to bring" and bring what ya can. I'm sure there is always somthing extra to pass around. I have a total of 4 walking stick type apparatise, so I know I will have a tleast 2 extra for someone who needs.

So sign up, don't be shy, the more the marrier... ad remember, we decided Sunday MAY 1

About "Pictures" of what we are up against. I don't know of any in exisitance, but if you send a message to those who have already gone on this one (via geocaching.com) I am sure they may be able to help out. I know one of our fellow cahcers mentioned he had probelms with an ankle, but he was ok to go on it.

I dont' think this cache is as much about geocaching as it is about trudging through the wilds of Wisconsin and tackling some challenging terrain. If you think you could make a go of it, by all means, come on along!

On the note about supplies, I have four FRS/GMRS radios I will bring along for communication.

See you all then!

This cache has been a hot topic now for a few weeks. There is another group of people (myself, uncle_fun and a few others that are talking about going maybe a week or 2 after the May 1st date. Would be interested to find out what everyone says about this one when they get back. If you are interested in another date on going, let myself or uncle_fun know about it.

That's ok!! If you find out on the 25th, just drop a note to my e-mail and let me know. Then I can get all the info yu need via your e-mail also. We will post as much as we can on here, but it's a bit simpler if I can e-mail stuff ut to everyone!! Thanks so much!!

REMINDER!! Everyone who already knows they will be venturing out with us, please e-mail me, the sooner the better. Also, please remember I will be out of state from 4/19-4/23, so if you don't hear from me, don't worry......I'll be baaaaaaack!!!!
