That would be awesome to get a chance to meet the owner of this interesting cache. We'll let ya know for sure where we'll be meeting. Thanks for the info!

Still have room in my lil car. Have arcangl7 going with me (I assume) and 1 from CalumetDreams... I believe, though I have not go a "For sure" with the date change, so....still one spot left... you can have it. Not the Biggest car in the world but good gas milage and I think we'll be fine for the trip there and back. Image If needed, I can take my pickup too... get's 17-19mpg and I can get 6 of us in there pretty comforably. Gas bill shouldn't be that bad and pplenty of room for STUFF in the back for gear, especially if we decided to cook out after. Taking Ideas for thta too!! Lemme Know. Also need to know opinions about attempting in the rain (safety concerns.. not that we're gonna get wet....LOL)

Oh c'mon now...some of us did it after the first big warming spell, followed by the first big rain of the season. And some of us did it 2 days later after that when all that lovely water had frozen under the next BIG snow. So stop whining about the weather and either do the cache or don't!

(See how easy it is to give someone grief when you've already done the cache? Hee! Hee! They don't call me MajorBrat for nothing!)

And yes, there will be a group of us sneaking in to join those of you who are going to attempt this one for the first time.

Anyone happen to be camping out the night before? I think I'm going to Ho Chunk the day before- seems pointless to drive up there twice in two days...

Date is May 1st, time is 9:30 I believe?

Be sure to load up your gps with other caches around the area.. with so many coming it might cut the 'find' time down a bit.. and our days are now longer (goodie)

As the cache owner (plus she's just nicer than I am) she probably feels she has to be nice...me, I'm a Brat so I'll say it outright...
Be sure and load your GPSR w/ other area caches in case you chicken out and can't bring yourself to actually DO this one!

*** LATEST TALY OF THOSE GOING TO ATTACK "THE GAUNTLET" ***

# of cachers

(2) Digital_Dan & Friend
(1) Da Fu
(1) Arcangl7
(1) Really I’m not lost
(1) Cacherchick
(2) jjjtba
(1 ?) QwertyToo
(1) jvechinski

Total cachers attaching the Gauntlet 9, possible 10.

Am I missing anyone?? Did I add too many to the list? Anyone else want to go?

As it stands now, we can nicely do 3 teams, going out in intervals. If we had a total of 12 going, then maybe do 4 teams out. Think this will work great. Will work on the List of things to consider to take with us. As always taking suggestions. Also, time and place of meeting. Though Lil Otter gave a great suggestion of meeting up at a local restaurant, several have e-mailed and though that meeting in the general area of the trail head might be good too. I will contact Lil Otter to see what she has to say aobut the immediate area. Not sure of the nature of the area. Also, how about eats???

Da fu... back and ready to attack!
