The Gauntlet - Looking for others to go on this one!

Digital_Dan & I are looking for form a small group to tackle "The Gauntlet...Let the Games Begin!!" down in the Dells area. Have one taker so far. We would like a group of 3 or 4 or so. If we get more to go, That would be great too. We can make it an event and form small groups to go out on 15+ minute intervals. Kinda tossing ideas around. Don't have a 100% definate on the date, but seriously looking at April 30th. This will be an early to rise late to bed day for us. I can take a total of 4 ppl in my car, leaving from Two Rivers, WI. Digital_Dan can take 4 total also, leaving from Waukesha. Hoping to be at the trailhead no later that 0930. Please contact one or both of us if you are seriously interested. We figure we'd have stay for a meal for sure. We'll get details as we go. Would be awesome to get a bunch and do numerous groups.

Ok.. after deep discussion with Digital_Dan. It seems that Saturday, April 30th is the date we are going for. Due to work and previous plans, I am a bit limited on weekends. Is a Sunday date OK for anyone of you who are interested????

Well, I don't have industrial strength hip waders, rapelling gear, or the pain tolerance to walk 3 miles without shoes, torn clothes, or in need of medical attention LOL. Looks interesting for sure... I don't think I'm ready for all that. It was a good read though!

Like Lt. WISearcher, I too wish to offer my words of enouragement to all those attempting this one on the 30th. Do read ALL the previous logs and go prepared for anything...seasonal changes will make this a different adventure for you than it was for us. Be careful and as always...Happy Caching!!!

Is this going to be on Saturday, April 30th or Sunday, May 1st? Saturday the 30th is the date of The Secrets of Stonehaven Event (GCMC7T), so I'm guessing most cachers are going to want to go there instead of attacking the Gauntlet.

Heck, maybe we could launch a "second assault" on Sunday for those who couldn't come on Saturday. I would just want to make sure at least one other person was there so someone could point the authorities to my body

. It might be tough going after this one following all the hiking that we'll be sure to do at Stonehaven (40 temps!)... but I'm up for a challenge.
