I posted to the Midwest GC forum sometime ago. The thread is accessible at http://forums.groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=111452 ...

I am looking for a cache-dense area similar to Walnut Creek Park (http://www.geocaching.com/map/getmap.aspx?lat=30.3956&lon=-97.682567 ; ~12 caches) or the Barton Creek Greenbelt (http://www.geocaching.com/map/getmap.aspx?lat=30.3956&lon=-97.682567 ; ~30+ caches). These are two sweet-spots in Austin, Texas. I would like to spend some time in a cache-dense area which is indicative of MKE or WI surroundings.

As mentioned, I will be visiting from DEC 16 - DEC 21. I will likely get out and get my cache on either DEC 19 or DEC 20. Optimally, I would spend a morning or an afternoon caching during either of these two days.

I will be lodging at the Radisson at HWY100. Extended family lives in West Allis and the Menomonee Falls areas. Anything which fits the above mentioned description and is near or semi-near to the places I will be staying/visiting would be nice. I have done some recon using the GC cache maps / Google Earth; Whitnall Park looks like a large-sized park with a good amount of caches. Any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance for any input you folks might have!

Hi There, Hey there, Ho there: I just did a few along the root river parkway which is close to West Allis. It is a biking/hiking/walking trail on the southside of town. Check: Root River Dew amd Grandpa's Tool Exchange. These two should lead you to several more along this trail. Good Luck and enjoy winter in Wisconsin.

I will email you tonight via your profile since I am in the Greenfield area which you mention.

I will be at a conference in Austin in early March 2006 so perhaps we can swap "best caches" lists.
