Just wanted to say hello to everyone!
We (TurkeyTime) are Kurt and Natalie from Two Rivers, Wisconsin. We stumbled across a cache by accident while we were out for a walk this past Monday night at Woodland Dunes Nature Center, and we decided that geocaching is something that both of us would love to do.
We plan on buying our GPS in the next week or two, and then we will hit the road and start hunting.
Nice to meet everyone!

Welcome aboard!
We're here for 'ya if you have questions ...
- What to look for an a GPSr (but tell us your budget and if you want maps)
- Questions about caching
- etc, etc
You're in luck too .. you have some first class cachers in your area ... and I'm NOT biased, cause I do NOT live there. |

Welcome to the obsession...I mean SPORT! Yeah that's it...sport. Hope you have fun and feel free to ask as many questions as you want. Next thing you know, you will be planning your vacations around what caches you can get!
Happy Caching!

Thanks for the welcome, everyone!
When we first decided to get into this, we thought that were *maybe* 50 or so caches in the Manitowoc/Two Rivers area. Natalie checked it out last night and found that there are over 700 caches hidden close to us. Wow. We really have our work cut out for us, don't we?
When we mentioned to someone last night at the Dunes that we were getting into this, he dropped two hints about where possible caches are out there, so we may go out there and see if we can hunt those down before we get our GPS unit and can really start doing this.
We are really excited about this, and hope to meet some of you someday!! |

Keep an eye out in the weekly ads for Adli's, Gander Mountain and other sporting good stores. They tend to run specials with GPS units around $100 if not lower. Sometimes they are refurbished but usually come with a warranty of some sort. I'd also suggest keeping an eye on these boards as when ad's hit with good deals someone usually posts a FYI on the boards about it.
Happy caching! |

Welcome aboard! My family and I stumbled upon a cache the same way you did. It just took us a year to figure out what it was before we started caching. Vince Condella from Fox6 Milwaukee gets the credit for openning our eyes.
Hope to see you on the trails. |

I'll add my welcome to this way of life. You never know what you'll find out there. Personally I'm after Bigfoot. If you see him, her, or it. Send him, her, or it my way

Glad you stumbled into this great family activity! I'm in the area as well if you ever need a caching companion or three. With all the new caches popping up all over, I'm quite sure there are several in the area I haven't done yet!
Welcome! |
