After that explosion, I don't think anyone can go home.

Looks like I'll be racing without being able to actually ride the course before. I guess we'll see how much risk I want to take on Sunday. Do I want to go fast or do I want to be conservative and go slow. Also no camping unfortunatly as I'll be staying with the other guy at his house in Hartford.

You will find yourself incapable of going slow, or looking at someone else's muddy butt....racing is in your blood, and racing means 'go fast!'

Be safe in your insanity! Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

Got a text from one Scout last night saying his mom doesn't want him camping in the cold and rain this weekend. Rolling Eyes Got an e-mail just now from the mom of two Scouts saying her boys would not be going. Evil or Very Mad That leaves two boys and two adults ... not worth it ... staying home. Well, not staying home, but going caching without boy scouts Laughing

I guess "be prepared" means staying home and not getting cold and wet. Laughing

I took the wee pirate to Pike Lake to grab the 7 new caches published since the picnic. It was a fun day. We were quietly eating a snack on a dead fall when a fox ran by about 20 yards away. It made for a good day.

Third grade teacher told me that he as taking his class to the cemetery next door to find my cache that I have there. He went to check it out yesterday and couldn't find it. So I made up a hasty replacement cache and took my class over to do cache maintenance. Just as we got to GZ a car pulled in. I assumed it was a mourner coming to the fresh gravesite that we passed on the way in, so I quickly stashed the cache and directed the class to quietly and respectfully leave. Third grade teacher called me this afternoon and said that one of the kids from his class found the missing cache under some leaves on the ground before he even made it to the hidey-hole to check it out.

That sucks! I had the most fun as a youth camping when the weather was crappy! Ain't that why the motto is Be Prepared?!?!

One of the reasons that I'm hanging up my Scoutmaster hat at the end of Feb.

That's why I 4 season cache with the lil hippies, no complaining whether the weather is ice, snow, sleet, rain or 100+ degrees. We're just a happy bunch of nuts outside 366 days a year Very Happy
