The Squirrel did not profess a preference for pine nuts.... but we can add them.

Trying to decide if I should ride the motor scooter to work tomorrow or not. Sounds like the snow isn't occurring until later in the day tomorrow so I might be able to make it home safely when I get off work at 3:30 in the afternoon.

It's too bad we can't have studded snow tires in Wisconsin.

Wisconsin

Tire chain usage is permitted for hazardous weather or other related incidents only, but may not damage the highway surface.

No problem.

But for the record - you're having "casserole" or "hot dish" for lunch, not chili. Maybe we should start a new thread to debate what "chili" is or is not? It could be just like the debate surrounding the "snowflake" attribute. wink

Quote:
chil·i
/ˈCHilē/
Noun

A small hot-tasting pod of a variety of capsicum, used chopped (and often dried) in sauces, relishes, and spice powders.
A spicy stew of beef and red chilies or chili powder, often with beans and tomatoes

No mention of noodles whatsoever.

And my comeback is : Have you ever had a chili dog or chili fries with noodles?

And then you open up the whole chile vs chili issue. The pod, or "pepper" is a chile, the dish made with chiles and tomatoes is chili. NO NOODLES

In my family chili has always been made with ebbow macaroni.

No one has ever been arrested for making it thus and no one has ever refused to eat it.

Psst...don't tell them that the definition they are using doesn't have anything to do with adding noodles. It only removes the option for "vegetarian chili"
