Couple glasses of wine and I almost feel better from falling in the river earlier. |

Well first off I'm almost as antisocial as they get. Second the proximity sensor is going off and I don't want to detract from other events by firing up the cast iron |

Guess I'll have to crash WCD's event then. Or maybe I'll just find a couple P&Gs |

Maybe we will have a big blizzard on 12-12-12 just like we did on Leap Day.
Then everyones's events and caching plans will get screwed up. |

Mathman said he will crash it if you would too. Would be interesting! |

Mrs. TBC got a kick out of your comments on FB.
I just kept getting mental pictures of a drippy hippy. |

This pie is worth the work!!!!
5 Layer Chocolate Pie
Betty’s Pies
Pastry for 9-inch single-crust pie
2 egg yolks
1 cup semisweet chocolate pieces
¼ cup water
2 egg whites
½ cup sugar
½ to 1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons cold water
1 teaspoon unflavored gelatin (can substitute non-fat cool whip for the next 3 ingredients)
2 cups whipping cream
¼ cup sugar
Preheat oven to 450°. Prepare pastry for a 9 inch single-crust pie. Crimp edge. Line the unpricked crust with a double thickness of foil. Cover whole crust. Bake 8 minutes, remove foil and bake 4 to 5 minutes more. Remove from oven and reduce heat to 325°.
In a small, heavy saucepan, combine two egg yolks, 1 cup of semisweet chocolate pieces and ¼ cup of water. Cook and stir over medium-low heat until thickened and mixture just comes to a boil. Remove from heat and cover.
In a medium mixing bowl, beat 2 egg whites with an electric mixer until soft peaks form (tips curl). Continue beating, while gradually adding ½ cup of sugar and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon. Beat until stiff peaks form (tips stand straight) for a meringue. Spread the meringue evenly over the cooled pie crust. Bake meringue covered crust in 325° oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until crusty. Remove the crust from the oven. Gently spread 2 tablespoons of chocolate mixture over the meringue.
In a 1-cup glass measure, combine 2 tablespoons of cold water and 1 teaspoon unflavored gelatin. Let stand for 2 minutes. Place the glass measure in a saucepan of boiling water. Cook and stir about 1 minute or until gelatin is completely dissolved.
In a large mixing bowl, beat 2 cups whipping cream and ¼ cup of sugar with an electric mixer on medium speed, while gradually drizzling the gelatin over the cream mixture. Continue beating until soft peaks form.
Spread half the whipped cream over the pie. Fold remaining chocolate mixture into the remaining whipped cream. Spread on top of the whipped cream layer. Chill until serving time. Serve topped with additional whipped cream and chocolate curls if desired. |

How does it feel to be under those bus tires?
My son does that to me a lot (not intentionally I hope, just moves mouth before engaging brain). |
