We don't get over to Mauston much since my dad died, but we were headed there today for our great-niece's birthday party. Left a bit early to pick up a few new caches and drive some back roads that we knew were good for color. Heading to the first two of this year's pumpkin bash series, we debated if we should stop at a few other signposts in the area to see if there was anything on any of them.

Should have played our hunch. There were about fifty notifications in our inbox that came out right about the time we were heading home. We had driven by seven of those locations earlier today. If we had a smart phone and if we were given to chasing FTFs, we could have racked up quite a few. As it was, we enjoyed a lovely fall day with some beautiful color, and we each had a piece of a seven-year-old's birthday cake... much more memorable than a bunch of damp pill bottles tied to signposts.

I didn't get any caches this weekend but spent 8 hours on the road to my daughter's and back to celebrate my grandson's first birthday...he didn't look nearly as neat as Molly. Finley's face, hands, hair, etc. were covered with green frosting Laughing

Yeah, bartrod... The green would have shown up a lot worse than the pink frosting Molly had on her first birthday:

It's been a while, but if I remember right green is not that unusual at age one.

Have to head for home today. But not as soon as we thought. Fog is so thick that we can't see the lake 100 feet away.

Love those classic frosting all over the face photos! Green, pink or blue!

I did a little late night bushwhacking last evening GC4PY9V (I am a week behind in logs....hoping to get some pics back from the corrupt memory card).
It was a fun couple hours of night caching. The best part was when I put my jjacket on this morning and I noticed my back was covered in burrs. I didn't notice it last night when I arrived home. Rolling Eyes
