Well...this is about the best I can do. I'm by no means a graphic artist so it's amazing I got this far:

OK... here was a thought for the test front - the back would have state symbols - the state flower, a lighthouse & ship, and more...
But.. here was my thought keeping it mostly metal, but having translucent enamels in the compass rose.
Input welcome! |

Very nice.
This is the point at which I wonder why I spent several hours trying to get mine designed.... |

OK, we have two very nice potential designs submitted so far and lots of ideas.
Now, I guess I need to be a little clearer than I originally was (sorry). For anyone who has a coin idea but no computer graphics skill, I would recommend one of the following:
1. Find someone who can do a little computer design to come up with something more concrete to submit.
2. Scan in a sketch and post it.
It doesn't have to perfect or even that good (that's what the coin maker artists are for), but it should be some kind of picture to be in the voting. It is just too hard to take people's descriptions and create a poll for chosing a winner. Think t-shirt design contest.
So keep 'em coming! You have 17 days....... |

Just so I can say I attempted this . . . . The Wisconsin State Picture lists the State Parks. Might work better just listing the Parks within the State border rather than the location of park. Anywho.........

I like it, but what is the shape on the blue triangle by the WI part? Looks like a whale, have not seen any whales - well not yet anyways in WI or am I looking at it wrong? |

Yes! Love the cheese and I think it is really cute how the pictures are kinda peaking out of the back. If it is a fish, it needs to be a little more "unwhalelike" if you ask me! OR how about the state flower or bird, cow, etc... they already have a lake picture on there with the boat. |

Thanks for your idea, Jay Mills.
A reminder: it was mentioned in the original announcement that these coins will be trackable. Though you don't have to put it in the rough designs at this point, a winning design without a spot for a tracking number will have to be modified to make room for it. Just something to keep in mind! |

The tracking number would go under the barn. |

Actually, there are some of us who are tired of seeing the state on the coins, so I like seeing other ideas just as much.
(Wait till y'all see my idea!)

This is just a concept. I've yet to find the perfect udder:
This is the Heads or Tails Geocoin. |

Heres my take- things that represent the state - but, theres caches too!
A little larger file, so please be patient! Front, and back.
The colors are translucent with textures underneath - EXCEPT for the robin, muskie, and lighthouse. Coin should be in antique or satin gold - with textures in the background. |
