Scuba video that I shot with my new wrist camera is featured on the home page of the camera manufacturer's Web site. The footage includes Mary with a large grouper and a small sea turtle, and a large barracuda that I must have attracted because of the shiny camera I was holding up. See it at http://www.goprocamera.com/ |

Wow that is really cool.
We sell those little buggers where I work....3 megapixles too, the price seems right, I may just have to pick one of those up....but what to do with it? I don't scuba dive (I'm actually not a big fan of deep water). Hummm on my mountain bike? Who really wants to watch images from the top of my helmet as I crash? Rock climbing....hummm now there is a possibility, but what if I fell? Does anyone really want to see that? My Kayak trips are pretty tame normally (last years Pewaukee River Run was a high water thrill ride through a few tight corners), but it would be pretty cool to take along on a whitewater rafting trip. SKYDIVING!!!! Yes, that would be the place for this; now if I could only get the wife to let me do that again....oh and I'd need to convince myself that it's actually not a dangerous and frankly insane thing to do.
These are really small cameras perhaps one could just throw it in the ol cachin' bag to take film of the happy dance that comes when finding that one difficult cache....... |

Now if you posted those two things in the off topic thread you would be king. |

Yep I knew I was derailing the thread a bit but somewhere in the back of my mind that little voice that is supposed to regulate staying on topic gets drowned out....
That said, I really was impressed with the video and the fact that kbraband was swimming in the deep blue. |

Kind of makes you think warmer thoughts during this snowy winter. It was a great video. |

No problem about derailing topics here. It's all off-topic anyway.
Thanks for viewing the video. |

Okay, kbraband, we watched your video and now Lisa wants to go someplace warm in the tropics! About the only thing I can do is turn up the heat and humidifier and drink Coronas! (come to think of it, that's not a half bad idea!)
Looks like you had a great time! Great video! Thanks for sharing! |

Hey I have a music collection that will help out with that. Come to think of it I also have a porta bar specially designed for this kind of party.
Oh ya the camera is cool too.(That's my attempt to stay on topic.) |

Wow, u/w camera's have changed a lot since I used them.
My gear has been gathering dust in the garage for way too long(with the exception of the wetsuit and snorkle on nifty fifty :> ). Tanks all need hydro'd, vis'd and filled, reg's rebuilt..etc. Too many other things to do I guess.
Last diving I did I went to the Bonne Terre mine in Bonne Terre Missouri 2(?) years ago.

I'm cave-o-phobic but made the trek up and down the stairs carrying all my gear to some phenomenal diving. |

Thanks Ken, the video was a welcome diversion from my "walk the mall in my God-awful brace" routine. -- just a few more weeks to go. |
