Anything, that is part of the challenge. (Otherwise, it would be a 3/5). |

All right, I'll pipe in with a hint since it's my cache. You should bring:
3 toothpicks
1 large thrermos of hot chocolate
1 Bic lighter
123.5 feet of high tensil rope
1 flashlight
1 buddy
1 can of Alpo (to distract the bear)
1 can opener
1 trusty geostaff
2 GPSrs
1 climbing harness
1 first aid kit
1 machette
1 tube of poison ivy cream
1 roll of biodegradeable toilet paper
1 Radio Flyer wagon
3 MP3s
1 hammer (claw)
1 Sharpie marker
1 open end wrench 9/16"
2 snowshoes
1 fishing boat 16'
3 sets of corn on the cob holders
1 metal detector
1 BB gun
1 can of OFF
2 two way radios
1 compass
1 pencil
1 framed backpack to load all your gear into
You know, the basic gear needed to hunt any Rogheff cache |

Ahhh... so this is a spiritual successor to the Gauntlet ? Jeremy should be on top of this one, he already has all the equipment from that test piece.
Sounds interesting, never been to Bong in our rare chances making it way down state. May have to do some plotting and scheming. |

My Question...
Is it more challenging in the winter or summer? |

Since the bears are usually hibernating in the winter, the challenge is somewhat reduced. Note, however, that the nearby wolf pack is usually hungrier in the winter, so this may compensate a bit for the reduced challenge. |

You forgot to mention the following:
1 Arctic rated sleeping bag
1 multi-tool
2 pair dry socks (we all know the importance of proper foot care when in the field)
6 AA Li batteries
2 gallons of distilled water
3 days MRE rations (I recommend the chicken a la king)
1 whistle
3 signal flares
1 tuning fork (F sharp)
1 protractor
1 roll double sided tape
1 tank oxygen
I think that about covers the required gear...Of course, you could always just wing it. |

That's a 2 inch, beveled edge paint brush.
You might want to add having 911 standing by. |
