Has anyone here used Second Life? I heard about it on public radio a while back and thought about checking it out this afternoon. Other than learning to fly, walk and changing the appearance of my avatar, I'm not really sure what one does.
I'm going to do a little research, but wanted to see if anyone here had any experience.

Be careful. Your second life could spawn it's own second second life. Just ask Dwight Schrute.
Question: What is the ratio of Schrute Bucks to Linden Dollars? |

I have a coworker that “plays” second life, and for the most part he describes it a interactive chat room that he likes.
Another closer friend thinks it is the most boring thing around. I guess it comes down to what floats your boat. |

Thought it might be an interesting way for us to meet up and chat (sort of like an un-event!).
I'm still not really sure how I feel about Second Life. It's odd, but very pretty. Not too many people have chatted with me, so it's also sort of lonely to see my avatar just hanging out by herself.
It sort of slows down my computer too. So the jury's still out for me.

I wonder if someone could place a cache in Second Life. It would have to be a virtual... |

Wired magazine had an interesting article about goofball hackers who call themselves griefsters who hack their way in and cause unmentionable things to happen. |
