Greetings:
Got word from Collin (Team Margaritaville) this Friday that the Allouez Park and Rec would be interested in doing a CITO event. I was thinking last week about Getting this started. Would like to do Four events again, one in Appleton area, Green Bay Area, Manitowoc area, and somewhere else!!
Anyone have any input on this?
Please post when would work for you. i do realize that this is early, but no better time than the present to get this going.

Justin, a good friend of mine is president of the Baird Creek Conservancy. I told him that some of the best caches in the Green Bay area were in the Baird's Creek area he was surprised (and pleased). I also told him about our CITO events, and he was really interested. I'm sure that he could pick an area in the the Bairds Creek Parkway for a CITO event. I'd be interested in co-hosting it. We can talk about it at the Names and Faces on Wed. evening. |

OK sounds like a plan. Collin just brought up Allouez on Friday, as he was working there. No concrete plans, but would like to get the ball rolling hear, as it is only two months away. |

Justin, I a gonna pass the torch to another Appleton cacher to take care of the CITO event here. Too much on my plate this year to commit to doing the event. But I will be available for questions about planning one. |

No problem Jim:
Yes, you guys have a ton going on. That is understandable.
I am sure someone will come forward for the Appleton/Neenah/Menasha area.
Thanks for your input

I'm interested. I am not fully aware of what goes into planning and holding a CITO event. (i'm still relatively new at some of this...) so if I could work with someone or get some guidance that would be great. Appleton area would work well for me as that's where I live and I think there might be some good candidate areas in Appleton to choose from.
If you want to contact me directly, go ahead. Just let me know what it takes. I have some free time to offer!

I have put in a message with the Appleton Park and Rec Dept noting that CITO Weekend is April 19th - 20th and that I am interested in planning and hosting a 2nd annual Park/Trail cleanup CITO event in Appleton that weekend.
I will be contacting Hemi to get more details from last year's event seeing as I was yet a muggle at that time
I will do all of the coordination with the Park Dept on the cleanup project but would like some help planning the event and other activities. (Two heads is better than one, especially when one of them is named cheeto) I am taking applications for a co-pilot to help run this so if anyone in the Appleton area is interested in helping out, please let me know! The application form is a simple response to this or a PM/email will do as well. (Interview should only last 4 hours....)
I will keep everyone posted as I learn more from the Park Dept and plans get underway.

The Appleton P&R Director was very positive about geocaching at my presentation last spring. If you need assistance with establishing the connection, just email.

OK. I definetely want to get moving on this, as to get the events setup, and posted.
I would like us to do four like we did last year. We also have the Hwy 10 section out towards reedsville that we could incorporate into this.
Maybe a Green Bay, Appleton, Oshkosh, and Hwy 10 cleanup?
What is your thoughts?
Cheeto, what day would you like?
I am thinking that seeing as though the WGA has it's name on the sign, that that one should be 4-18-2008, but this does not have to be the case, I am just throwing this out there. Would like to kind of have dates set within the next week though if possible, so we can all move forward.

For the Appleton one, I was thinking 4/19 as the CITO weekend is marked as 4/19 - 4/20. I would not be able to hold an event on a Friday unless it's after 5:30pm. And the turnout would probably be best on a Saturday rather than any other day, no?
I will work at pinpointing location and date/time this week. |

OK, If you want that weekend, that is fine with me. I will plan on having mine April 12th.
Still need volunteers for the 1st Weekend in April, as well as the Last weekend in April.
