Hello! I am rather new to Geocaching and this site. I have 13 caches under my belt, and my passion grows for it each time I go out hiking.
I am a 29 year old male working in IT/IS. I love to backpack and hike, and also have interests in computers, aromatherapy, and a good laugh.
I use an altered cell phone with Trimble Outdoors Platinum, and a back-up phone with NavFunPro...
If anyone would like to hit the trails sometime, message me! I am a loner among my friends in this hobby.
I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible!

Welcome! I'm not in the La Crosse area, so I can't join you on the trails, but I wanted to welcome you to the WGA. I suggest you find a geocaching event to go to. It is great fun to meet up with others who also find enjoyment in searching for containers in the woods (and elsewhere), especially if you can compare notes on geocaches you have visited. There are some very social geocachers in your area - also, some first-to-find hounds. Hang out at a new cache and you may meet them (if you get there in time).

Hi Andy,
Great to see another Coulee region cacher joining the fray. We have cleaned out everything within a 50 mile radius of the area right now, but keep your eyes peeled for local events once the weather cools down. We started a semi-regular social event called Caffiene and Caching last winter, and it's a fun way to put names to faces. |

Ruth, Not I. That would be Trekkin', and he claims he's "mostly reformed" now.
Personally, I think that's just the Lyme disease talking there. But he did let 14 of them slip by the other day, just so another FTF hound could have some fun! Not naming names or anything, but I think it was zuma! |

I'm guilty of not getting the notices from GC.com but I have not seen it listed on WGA in some time. Did I miss one or a few? |

Welcome! You're lucky to be in the LaCrosse area--great geocaching there, but we haven't headed west yet to find any! They're right about the events, but in addition to caffeine and caching, some appear to enjoy bonfires and beer (and marshmallows). |

I just got back from a backpacking trip in the Bighorn's (I didn't disappear).. I didn't do a whole lot of geocaching - 5 total, however all with amazing views..
On the other hand, the other end of my GPS got a workout, not to mention my heart, but wow! |

You bet! I will get a hold of you. I have found a couple of your hides, nice..
I just placed my first cache. Just got off the phone with the superintendent of the state park and I am sending in the form tomorrow.
The terrain is a 4/5 - I feel kinda guilty about that being new to this. In any case, I do a lot of backpacking, found a beautiful place where beauty is very limited.
Talk to you soon! |

Awesome, a new 4/5? That's our dream cache, thanks for placing it! Look forward to seeing the listing and enjoying the hunt. |
