Geoaware just posted that the Official EarthCache coin has just gone to mint and will be announced for sale shortly...watch EarthCache.org or the GC EarthCache forums for details.

He had mentioned something about a coin a while back, when I wrote to him about another idea. He was tossing the idea around and was not sure if one should be created since ECs do not have a container. I Said, "Go for it!" People love coins and it would be a great item to have in remembrance of all the EC's we do.

That is kind of ironic, what with ECs having no container to hold coins. But there are plenty of coins out there that hardly relate to geocaching at all, so why not?

I'm not the geocoin collecting hound I used to be, but I'll try to get a few of these.

I only have a handful myself but if the price is right and they are cool.....
