Does anyone that uses the Mobipocket reader on their PDA have problems with the search feature? It says you can look up a cache by it's "GC" designation instead of scrolling through the list. I haven't got this to work, in fact I tried other common words as a test with negative results. Does anyone know how to perform the searches? |

Yes I had the same problem and I found the very simple answer in a post from sbukosky.
You do not use the “magnifying glass” find symbol, go in to the edit mode, the symbol with a "page and a down arrow", bottom left next to the “abc”, in that drop down menu there is a “find” and that one will work. The other odd thing is once it finds what it is looking for the “find in text” window comes up, but you can then just close it.

Rangerboy, one add'l thing. Make sure you check the box that says "whole word" when searching a GC number. It does help the speed a bit I think because it is looking for a word, not a string of letters. |

I tried this and still failed. I did it both with and without match case and whole word searches and still failed. I wonder if I got a defective program?

Rangerboy:
I just got into the 2000's with Plucker!!!! Use it, you will like it!!! Much better than Mobipocket.
There are many other threads discussing it. Look for GPX Spinner.
Good luck,
