We have a new cacher in the area to welcome - CodeJunkie - who arrived on the scene (not the fire) in early July while the Blondie Bloodhound and I were exploring the beautiful scenery (GCGMMC) of Yellowstone NP annd the Grand Tetons.
CodeJunkie's learning curve has certainly been acclerated from what can be gleaned from his early caching beginnings (logs). Yikes!
While his 11th find- GCR06T Fox Proposal Point, he got to see Red fire trucks blocking the road and get chased by and pulled over by deputies for suspicion of arson. Not too bad of a start to the wacky world of geocaching.....and a great log!
Let's all give CodeJunkie a warm WGA welcome to geocaching.
We look foward to seeing along the trail and to visit your first hide (and a puzzle to boot) GC1WDXD.

Yikes! Didn't know you had such an exciting cache life, Code Junkie! Got to meet Code Junkie and daughter CamoQueen at our event last month at Roche-A-Cri State Park. Didn't need to learn much from us as the two of them cached all over the park that day. (Glad you didn't burn the place down! ) Welcome! |

Hello CodeJunkie! Feel free to add your story to the thread I started about accidents/incidents/memorable cache happenings. Wow, I am not sure I would have continued if that was my beginning. I am glad to hear you are still at it. Welcome to the madness! |

Welcome to the group. Hope to see you "blazing" the trails & "burning" up the roads going from cache to cache. Maybe even leave some of us breathing your "smoke" as you rush to the next cache.
Again welcome & have fun!!!!!

Thanks to all the warm welcomes. That #11 was a great experience. I got to share it with an old high school friend - the guy that got me hooked on caching from a Facebook post where I went "Huh?". It was #11 for me, but #1900 for WeatherNowCast who I got to share the moment with. Thanks got out to the guy that got me started.
I'm hooked is probably the best way to state it (maybe the only way). Lunchtime is now consumed with caching. And as sadistic as it sounds I'm working the Seldom|Seen Laughing Water Series in Menasha. Holy buckets are some of these hard. Got hooked on these via the LCG. Mostly out of ignorance as a newbie - I asked myself "What can be so hard about these in downtown Menasha that nobody's doing them?" Guess I found out, but there are at least a few that are no longer "lonely".
Homebase is in the Berlin area which has a rich opportunity for more caches. We've placed two (second just published on 8/14) but have plans for many more.
Thanks SGH (and all the others) for the warm welcome. |
