2011 WGA Geo Picnic

2011 WGA Geo Picnic
9/7/2011

The 2011 WGA Geo Picnic is nearly here! On September 17th, hundreds of geocachers will converge at Brunet Island State Park for a day of caching and camaraderie. Dozens of new caches have been placed in the area for the event. If you enjoy canoeing and kayaking there are a number of new, challenging T5 island caches. New caches have also been placed along the scenic Old Abe Trail. The Old Abe Trail is over 19 miles of paved trail running South to Lake Wisota State Park.
The WGA picnic committee has planned activities to keep everyone busy all day, including Geo-Golf, Geo-Bingo, kids’ activities, a photo contest and Challenge geocaches. The grills will be fired up at Noon and again at around 5 PM. Please check the event page for a complete schedule and information.
The WGA will be selling tee-shirts, sweat shirts, hoodies, 2011 Geo Picnic Pathtags and 2011 WGA Geo Coins all day during the event. You will be helping to promote and support the Wisconsin Geocaching Association with your purchase of any of these great items.
