Or is it warm hands warm beverage, cold beverage cold hands? You can pick up your very own WGA can or bottle koozie at West Bend Cach Ba$h Friday through Sunday at the WGA booth or Sunday Pancake Breakfast. What do you have in your koozie?

Get Your Very Own 2017 WGA BOD Tag

For the second year in a row, the current WGA BOD has pooled together their own money and have purchased pathtags that are yours for the asking. Each one has a limited supply and once they are gone, they are gone and will not be reordered. All you need to do is approach any BOD and tell them the “phrase that pays” again. And no, it’s not anyone’s favorite this year. However, you need to read the 2017 WGA Summer Newsletter and try to figure out that paying phrase. Think of it as a field solve. Everyone loves those, right?

Here’s a sneak peak of that tag. You will be able to grab yours beginning Friday, August 11, 2017, as we set up the WGA merchandise booth at Regner Park in West Bend for the West Bend Ca$h Bash (https://coord.info/GC6TKHJ). The booth will be open from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Friday and then again on Saturday, August 12, 2017, from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. with a lunch break and will resume again from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. when the drawing begins.

If you did not receive the 2017 WGA Summer Newsletter, here is a link to help you with your solve: http://mailchi.mp/9e9a594a78aa/c8gyucpvl0?e=7a5ff96185IMG_1608

NKMU Cache Quest Event Results

IMG_1449

We wanted to share this with the membership. A new yearly event in the making? A HUGE thanks to all of the WGA Members who lent their support and time, hid caches, donated prizes and cache containers, as well as participated in this event. Congrats to all of the winners!

“Summer Greetings!

WOW! Where did June fly off to?  I can’t believe the 4th of July is just two days away!

Thank you! Thank you!

Thanks to all your wonderful efforts the first ever Kettle Moraine State Forest – Northern Unit’s Cache Quest was a wonderful success.  The numbers may have been low (38 participants), but those who participated had a grand time completing all the challenges for the quest.  We could not have pulled off this event without all ten of you and your expertise and willingness to share your knowledge and time!

If you all want to do another such event in the future, I would be more than glad to work with all of you again!  I truly enjoyed my experience in pulling together Cache Quest with you all.  You are the absolute best!

Please find attached the final times for the teams that completed all the challenges along with a copy of the awards certificate presented to those teams.  The 6th place team received the “Tenacity Award” for finishing the quest.  We were truly grateful for the prizes from the Wisconsin Geocaching Association that were awarded to the teams.

Thanks again for making our Cache Quest a reality and a terrific triumph!
