Get your motor runnin’. Head out on the highway. Lookin’ for adventure, in whatever comes our way. And there is plenty coming our way this weekend. Start your engines on Saturday morning, June 30, for the Geocaching Road Rally (GC7M1CK) beginning in Waukesha at 8:30 am. Or you could Meet Me at the Lake (GC7N178), for the 9th annual event at Lake Arbutus in Jackson County, featuring the famous “Trash Can Turkey.” If camping is more your thing, join the “Camping Ball Run” (GC7M1WV) in the Northern Kettle Moraine area.
On Sunday, July 1, get ready to burn rubber at the inaugural Fox Valley Road Rally (GC7MHP4). The flag drops at 10:30 am in Menasha. Or give some pay back to our country’s veterans by helping clean up from the previous night’s fireworks display at the Highground CITO (GC7MCZG) near Neillsville.
With the start of the Hidden Creatures promotion, there will be a Hidden Creature event, “Bigfoot Schmigfoot” (GC7RCX3) on Tuesday, 7/3, in Wisconsin Dells. Following the Fourth of July festivities, there will be a meet-and-greet event, “Cozmo’s Corner” (GC7RCQH) on July 7 in Oak Creek.
Now get out there and track down those hidden creatures. Born to be wild!

Hey all you cachin’ folk out there. How ya doin’? Enjoying the last days of Spring in WI?
We need a favor. You up to the challenge? Have we got your interest yet? Tee hee . . . 😉
We need articles for the summer newsletter! Yep, we said it. Need material. What have you got? It’s your newsletter and people want to hear what’s been going on around the state.
Trust us, you all have been great with your articles lately and we know it’s coming into summer and everyone is busy. It’s either that or bored minutes . . . we mean board minutes 😉
Please contact [email protected] or [email protected] to get your article in the spotlight! It’s glowing there 😉
We want to hear from you really soon otherwise the newsletter may be boring . . . Just like what the forecast . . .
Better three hours too soon than a minute too late. – Batman
From puzzling in Kaukauna, happy hour in Madison, Father’s Day on Rock Island, eating pizza in Baraboo, visiting Wisconsin’s Last Wilderness in Presque Isle, kayaking the river in Thiensville, eating trash can turkey at Lake Arbutus, Road Rallying from Waukesha through the Northern Kettle Moraine then on to finishing it up in the Fox Valley, CITOing near Neillsville, hodagging in Rhinelander and more pizza near Belcrest, we still have the West Bend Cache Ba$h and the WGA’s Magic Pancake events to still attend!
The way we get into these scrapes and get out of them, it’s almost as though someone was dreaming up these situations; guiding our destiny. – Robin
Hope to see you all soon!
May 2018 COTM Winners!
Congratulations to our May 2018 COTM winners! Thank you to everyone who took the time to nominate and vote for these awesome caches! Head over to the WGA website to check out the winners, and to make your nominations now for June COTM.
We have changed the voting to reflect the 4 quadrants (see the below article where we made the change, and a copy of the map), and we are working on updating the map, as well as getting the winning banners fixed. Looking forward to seeing those great cache nominations, and if you find the past winners, make sure to tell us about them!

May Photo of the Month Winner
You guys had a slow start this month, but we ended strong with a lot of great photos. Congratulations to Sunlovin_wiscogirl for her winning photo of a new crop of cachers. Keep them coming to show how great caching in Wisconsin really is. Of course, the pictures don’t always have to be from Wisconsin. Make sure you share all of your caching adventures. We like to see where our members are traveling out of state as well. Make sure you post your pictures in the comments of the Facebook post and make sure to get your friends to vote for their favorite if they don’t have a photo of their own.
