With winter imposing its snow and ice on Wisconsin, thoughts turn to holidays, snowshoeing, and CHILI! This year will mark the 10th annual WGA Chili Feed. The event will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at the George W. Mead Wildlife Area near Milladore, Wisconsin. In honor of the tenth anniversary of this event, the Board of Directors has decided to bring back some of the old traditions and to try some new things as well.

For the old, we will be bringing back the traditional bon fire. The Mead has a beautiful fire ring area with benches surrounding the fire pit. We’ll have marshmallows available for roasting, or just join us around the cheery fire for fellowship and geocaching talk.

For the new, we will be holding a chili cookoff. To enter the cookoff, make a note that you would like to participate on your “will attend” log. Then bring 2 – 3 quarts of chili in your crockpot or slow-cooker to the event. Attendees will sample the entries and vote for a winner.

Chili and hot dogs will be served from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm. Chili will be sold for $2.00 per bowl and hot dogs will be the same price. Log your will attend for GC80MZX.
