A new handicapped accessible cache is NOW ACTIVE: Jenni’s Cache near Madison. I initially posted this at Thanksgiving but realized that it would not survive passersby for long unless I found a more sustainable hidey-hole. (I also wanted my wheelchair-bound friend to be the first finder.)

I did find a more optimum place – please adjust your waypoint if already in your GPS. Updated info is on geocaching.com.

Please email me if you know of any wheelchair accessible sites! I know of one other: “Geocache” by olddude in Stoughton.

Merry cachin from Cachew and Wicket, the geodog!

John, my “Wild Goose Chase” geocache is wheelchair accessible except for the final 30 or 40 feet, so if someone in a wheelchair wants to hunt that one they should take someone along who can birddog underbrush at the coordinates.

Thanks, Ken. Yep, the only way that I could think to do a Regular cache was to have the last 10-40 feet be ‘off-road’ and mention that a companion would be needed.

My friend is really intrigued with the hands-on treasure hunt of a Regular cache as opposed to a virtual one. Undaunted, her user name is ‘cacheronwheels’!

    Thanks for the quick reply.
    John
