We were surprised to see that in the May edition of Backpacker Magazine, there is a short little blurb about Geocaching. It also mentioned Orienteering and Letterboxing. It does however say that there is a serious “techno-nerd quotient” and that we don’t follow the “Leave No Trace” philosophy. Good that the sport got mentioned but bad that it was not in the best light. Don’t let the DNR see this one! They’ll think that we go around killing all of the vegetation and that we’re leaving garbage instead of picking it up. The article forgot to include the “Cache In, Trash Out” philosophy we promote.
