The WGA has reached the 100th member mile stone! The 100th registered member is: Team Flushing Grouse.

Welcome aboard team Flushing Grouse. As a special reward for being the 100th member, you will receive a free years membership to the WGA

On a more serious note, I would like to extend my thanks to everyone who has registered and participates on this message board. I think we have a great website and great interaction with Wisconsin Geocachers.

    Welcome Flushing Grouse!
Now we also expect your participation in the unannounced yet upcoming 2003 WGA Geopicnic. That will give us all an opportunity to meet you eyeball to eyeball and exchange trail yarns. It is great to have you aboard.

And before the next WGA picnic, keep an eye out for the WGA campout, which we expect will happen once again in the spring.

Thanks to all for the warm welcome. My family happend to “stumble” onto the sport while talking with some friends… Lucky I guess.

Being a hunter, I always wanted to get a gps. This finally gave me a good enough reason. I can’t think of a better way to get us and our kids (5yrs. & 2yrs.) out and about. Much better than sittin in front of the “tube”…. I think our 5yr. old is as hooked as I am.

    Thanks again for the welcomes!!

    See you on the trail….

Congratulations on our 100th member!!! We’ve met so many great new friends through caching. I notice on the main page there’s a listing of the member’s with homepages, but could the rest of the members be somehow listed? Shouldn’t be too hard to make a list.

Technically, any cacher who visits the WGA website is a member. We encourage participation on the forums (hence 100 ‘members’), but its not a requirement.

We’ve had many participate at the picnics or campout, others by email, many put the WGA logo on their cache pages. If you geocache in Wisconsin, consider yourself a member

Recently, we have seen some confusion due to a change in the definition of membership. Many of our registered users are still guided by our previous definition of member to believe that they are members of the WGA. If there is some confusion in your mind, please check the list of WGA members to see if your name is listed. If not, please sign-up, it doesn’t cost anything.
