The WGA is now accepting nominations for the Board of Directors. Click here to go to the elections page and nominate the WGA member(s) you would like to have serve on the Board.
Four positions on the Board of Directors are up for election this year. These positions are currently held by the following individuals:
- Ken Braband (not seeking reelection)
- Joe Schnicke (not seeking reelection)
- Jeremy Vechinski (not seeking reelection)
- Sam Worske
Most incumbent Board members have already indicated that they would not like to serve on the Board again (they are not seeking reelection, as specified above), so please do not nominate these individuals.
Some general notes about this phase of the Board of Directors election process:
- Individuals must receive two nominations to appear on the ballot when voting for the Board begins.
- Individuals receiving one nomination will be contacted via email to determine if they are interested in serving on the Board. If they are, their name will be placed on the elections page in a list of individuals who have one nomination and are looking for a second.
- Please do not nominate individuals who are not eligible or are already on the Board. To serve on the Board, individuals must be WGA members and meet other eligibility requirements (including being at least 21 years of age) outlined in the WGA bylaws.
- You are not allowed to nominate yourself.
- Nominations will be accepted until January 24th at 11:59:59pm. At this time, voting for the Board of Directors positions will begin and continue until 11:59:59pm on February 8th.
If you have any questions about this phase of the Board of Directors election process, feel free to post them here.

However, now that the hectic Christmas season is over and things are calming down, and after some encouragement and arm twisting from Brian of Team GrouseTales, I feel re-energized. There are important tasks we need to accomplish such as WGA incorporation, filing for non-profit status, continuing work with the DNR on a state-wide geocaching policy, and of course, the campout and other events. If anyone wishes to nominate me, I will glady accept the nomination.

12/30/2003 at 12:55 am #1736239Third! Glad to hear Ken has reconsidered and will run again. It’s so great to have people of his caliber working for all of us. We do apppreciate all that the Board does for us and as usual don’t say it enough. There are quite a few important items on the upcoming agenda. This will be an important year for Wi-geocaching. Let’s all remember to vote and support our Board.
