May I be the first to congratulate Jeff on his 1000th cache.
Amazing accomplishment and only the 2nd person from Wisconsin to hit it.

I’ll be the second! Jeff and I were neck and neck for a while and trading off leads. He blew by me later on and my head is still spinning. Congratulation!

It has been fun just “watching” as he has jumped from county to county in search of “just one more”. Many, many miles this last few months!

Congratulations Jeff; and thanks for all the laughable log entries on your way to 1000!

Wow! Way to go on hitting such a tremendous milestone! The first one was awesome, the 100th triumph, and now the 1000th must be amazing! May your second millenium be as awesome as your first (in 1/2 the time ).

Way to go Jeff! It’s a wonder your not at 2000, the way you’ve been logging finds like a mad man. Congratulations on the four digits.

Boy are we slipping here! T&tb were always first with the accolades. Saturday we decided to try to get a few finds added to our list and scores of cachers beat us to the punch with the kudos due. Congratulations Jeff. You must have had a busy day 10? 12? finds. :P)

    We’re not worthy, we’re not worthy…

    Congratulations!

I must say the caches you hide are also worthy of mention, very creative.

Thanks for all your kind words.

To follow in the tradition of doing special caches for milestones, the cache I ended up doing (Capture the Flag by wzbt03) was not my first choice.

I had planned to finish his WI Time Trial, but I forgot some key info at home. Then as backup, I was going to do his Rockport Run Around which turned into Rockport Run A-ground when I couldn’t find one of the waypoints. Capture the Flag, created for the larger purpose of taunting flatlanders, has charms all its own.

This all just goes to continue to show me how unpredictable and therefore fun caching is and will be.

See you all on the trail.

PS: Spring break starts in a week; my students may go to Florida, but I’m goin’ cachin’ in Wisconsin.
OK maybe a few in Illinois
