The Greenfield Observer had an article about Geocaching today!
This summer, our (Greenfield )Parks & Recreation Dept had a Health & Fitness challenge. The idea was for each 15 minutes of activity, you could receive 1 point, up to 3 points a day. A log book was used and at various milestones, water bottles, frisbees, etc were awarded. The goal was 200 points.
The article is called “Treasures left behind, found in area parks with help of GPS”. I think the article came because of course, we had geocaching listed as a suggested activity for the Fitness Challenge. I am not too crazy about the title or a few of the comments in the article “there are no hard and fast rules geocachers play by”, I just thought it was great to have awareness in our area again!
Ecorangers are proud of you for all that you have contributed to the geocaching world. Way to go Renee and keep it up! Tami
We could use your enthusiasum up here in the Valley! A great way to expand the sport. Way to go girl!
