The WI Geocachers Fall Paddle is making preparations to get underway!
I hope that some of our fellow members will join in this special event. A group of geocachers and a big body of water….. almost sounds familiar does it not?
Are you up to the challenge?
09/21/2004 at 10:55 pm #1737449I got the canoe but not the time, the weekend before or weekend after would have been ok but I will be at the Telemark Resort in northwestern Wisconsin doing a 2-day USOF 2004 U.S. Individual Orienteering Championships event. Sounds like fun WI Geocachers Fall Paddle for the ones that can make it, hope this will become an annual event.

Sounds like fun.09/22/2004 at 1:13 am #1737451Looks like a nice event. I’ve never paddled anything before, so I don’t know if I’d be able to participate, but perhaps I can help out if anything is needed.

Great Idea!!
09/22/2004 at 1:26 pm #1737453Oh man, this sounds really cool.
I’ll be checking on a cache in South Dakota that day so won’t be able to make it.
Definately sounds like a fun trip!

Oooohh…. Very pretty photo!
10/08/2004 at 9:53 pm #1737456The Fall Paddle is now only a week away!
The current water temperature is 62F and the 10-day forecast is calling for high 50’s for the launch. The Fall Colors are expected to be at their prime for the event!
Some new caches are expected to pop up in the area over the next few days and there have been rumors of a waterborne bonus hide for the event.
A couple of us are planning to camp out the night before the event. Feel free to join in for a great night around the campfire!
