Hello from the Sushine State. My name is Greg Smith aka The Federation. I have been emailing Lil Otter regualarly since her trips to Florida and have found her to be a good friend and cacher. I asked her to post this announcement to your forums but she assured me it would be better coming straight from the horses mouth if you will. I hope that was the end she was referring to. Oh well as some of you all are aware I am sure Jacksonville is Hosting GeowoodstockIII next May 27-29, 2005. We will be posting a cache page the end of December to fit within the 6 month requirement of Groundspeak. In the meantime we have put up a web site that I am inviting you all to come and visit. The site adress is http://www.geowoodstock3.com. We have all kinds of useful info about the Jacksonville are plus a registration page for anyone who would like to attend. We are looking forward to hosting the largest Geowoodstock event yet and we hope to see as many of the cachers from Wisconsin as possible. If there is anything we can do to help out either questions or planning please don’t hestitate to get ahold of us. I will stopp in from time to time to follow up here. We also have a general discussion forum for GW3 on our local web site at http://www.nefga.com
general woodstock discussion forum.
thanks for giving me this opportunity.

boldly going where others have gone before10/18/2004 at 10:02 pm #1737535Hmmm…this is news worth watching! I’ll be checking in from time to time to see how this progresses! Hey Team Badger, anyone feel like a springtime road trip?
10/19/2004 at 1:22 am #1737536I’m glad that Florida is getting back on it’s feet with all the damage from the hurricanes. I’ve heard that a lot of caches were ruined as well. We enjoyed caching in the Daytona Beach area last Easter vacation. Anything we can do to help out? Tami
10/19/2004 at 2:05 pm #1737537We did some caches in Florida in February of 2003. Found them to be very similar to WI caches except that, instead of a pile of sticks, at least one was covered by dried seaweed and horseshoe crab shells (seriously!).
Would love to be able to attend the event but, unfortunately, with one big vacation already planned for next year, I won’t be able to do a second. Maybe in ’06!
