It is with deep sympathy that we announce the passing of “Painter” (Dennis), a Wisconsin Geocaching Association member, on April 21, 2005.

Dennis is survived by a wife and two children.

For information on visitation and services, please contact me via E-mail at: wga2-admin AT wi-geocaching DOT com.

Dennis was also a co-worker of mine and will be missed. He has helped out our geocaching community by placing several caches, and by designing the antenna used on the radio repeater at the last WGA picnic.

I will be keeping an eye on his remaining cache, and I will also be sure his family receives any messages posted here.

I am totally shocked…I have never met Dennis, but have corresponded with him in the past. My heart goes out to his wife and family.

I will be heading down tonite for the visitation. I will likely stop by and do the “Minimalism” cache that is near Union Grove after.

We would like to extend our deepest sympathies and prayers to his Wife and Family.

I don’t recall if I’ve met Dennis in person, but I most certainly remember seeing his username and logs.

Dennis was also a Ham Radio buff, excelling to the level of “Extra class”.
