Last year, the fall geocachers kayak paddle fell victim to the brutality of mother nature- yet several cachers from 3 states enjoyed a few hours huddled around the campfire followed by some area caching.

For anyone interested, I plan on camping and paddling at Bigfoot Beach State Park on Lake Geneva Columbus Day weekend, which is Oct 7-9. There will be no posted event cache this year, and hopefully the weather will cooperate a little better than the last for paddling. )

Camping at Bigfoot Beach is first-come, first-served. I hope to see some WGA members on the water!

Sounds like fun. We are actually heading north to the Sylvania Wilderness Area, just into Michigan a little west of Hwy 45 that weekend, with our canoes and a kayak or 2. We’ve done the same weekend twice before. 75* days, peak of the fall colors, and swimming last year, snowball fights and <20* overnight the year before!

Spring & fall paddling ya gotta be ready for about anything, but it’s still a nice time of year to be outside.
