During the Greater Green Bay Challenge this past July, Wisconsin Public TV spent the day filming and interviewing many cachers for a special to be aired this fall.
Well, I just got the call today and here are the times for that special to be aired:
Green Bay area: The segment will air THIS Thursday, Sept 22 at 7:00 PM on you local Wisconsin Public TV channel.
For those in the Milwaukee area it will air this Sunday, Sept 25 at 11:30 on channel 10. Sory, but Andy forgot to say whether it was AM or PM. So check your local listings.

The “Green Bay Challenge” brings geocachers together for a day of geocaching — using global positioning devices to find a cache hidden in a public space. The show is In Wisconsin. The listing at 11:30am for channel 10 WMVS in Milwaukee currently shows they are showing a rerun from 2 years ago, but I still have it marked in my DVR. I also have marked the same episode, broadcast at 2:30 pm Sunday on one of the high definition digital channels.
If I catch the segment, I’ll transfer it to my PC and publish it somewhere with lots of space. It probably will be a lot more fun than watching a Packer game

…well, almost ANYTHING is more fun than watching a Packer game these days! Phew!
09/23/2005 at 12:57 am #1738382We watched it tonight. So now do we get autographs from all you “famous” geocachers that were featured on the show? It was great seeing so many fellow geocachers that we have met before!! Also seeing the places we cached in Green Bay.

Great stuff! We need to find more reporters who will work with the teams as this one obviously did. Good job to all who participated in the input!

Bec- Are you having problem with the download or playing the file on your MAC?
Download appears to be working well.

There are no shortcuts to any place worth going09/24/2005 at 6:10 pm #1738389Bec,
Do you have Windows Media Player installed? It’s a totally unreliable piece-o-carp application, but it can play .wmv files (when it works properly).
QuickTime won’t play .wmv files. That may be your problem …just a guess, though.
09/24/2005 at 7:01 pm #1738390I have Windows Media Player now. And I did get to see the video finally. Very nice.
