Digital_Dan and I want to invite everyone up Nord for a weekend of caching, camping and fun. I have listed it on geocaching.com. Just waiting for the approval stuff.

This is set for Friday evening, September 23 thru Sunday {?} September 25.

Meeting/starting place is on our approx. 3 acre property just outside of Crivitz, WI.

    WE are looking at:

    40 Temp caches
    3 Temp “NIGHT TIME” caches
2 permenant caches placed in time for the event.

Camping is available on the property
    {aka Camp Catch-a-cache}
and we are looking at having port-a-pots and an shower available.

I will set up Reg. info as soon as possible. Have a few minor details ot work out yet.

    Sounds like fun!
I love that part of the state … we go to a camp in Pembine every year with our church group.
I’m sure we all look forward to the details.

I just did some cache/camping there and loved the area. Plus I had the biggest bear I have ever seen in the wild cross the road right in front of me just outside town!

Will put it on the calendar!

Camping…when we camped 2 weeks ago, we ended up sleeping in our screened porch with a tarp hanging over it (don’t ask)…we managed to stay dry with 3 nights of rainfall. I’ll check the calendar…would love to camp in our tent with tent poles and tent stakes this time!

Yup……any type camper is permitted. Just no hook-ups available. Can give you a fillup on H2O in your holding tank if needed though.

Plenty of room for campers, pop-ups and tents!!

We have just under 3 acres. We were up there this weekend and spoke with our neighbor across the road and they have offered their property {a total of 6 acres} for caches and camping Overflow. They knwo what Geocaching is and think its kewl we’re doing this!

Yup.. whatever ya got is fine as long as no hook-ups isn’t an issue. We use to have a pop-up and roughed it with lanterns and h2o from the holding tank! Hey…. beats the gound at times, but still love tent camping!

Putting out more caches come the 8th of Sept. Hope to have at least one of the hopeful 3 nite caches out. Having great difficulty with NO GPS signal in a couple of parks. Was not the only ones though. A co-worker was up Nord at on a previous weekend and had no signal while out 4-wheelin’ Hope we don’t have the same problems again on the 8th or come event time.

Since this appears to be a smaller group, I will put a list on the cache page of items we’d think would go well with the Brat & Dog cookout Saturday nite.

(Coutresy of Dan, myself & Cher-make Sausage)

I’ll have that out shortly as well as up and coming info for coords!

Gram says yup, we are coming. We’ll have a tent, so we can bring the little car. We’d need the truck to pull the camper, and we just can’t do it at over $3.00 per gallon and about 15 mpg.

Ginger the GeoDog is our 14 year old 20 pound small dog. Quite quiet and docile, very friendly. She likes to sleep in the shade when not doing 1 / 1 geocaches with us!

    Can we bring her?

    Thanks.

We’re lookin’ forward to this. We have not been to an event since the campout at Hartman Creek in Waupaca a couple of summers ago.
